Abstract

The article is devoted to sustainable development concept. It presents an analysis of
the sustainability of Russian regions on the basis of the author's methodology for the period
of 2011-2013. The calculated integral sustainability index has helped to develop a rating of
sustainability of Russian regions and to analyze the compliance the region’s strategy with the
principles of sustainable development concept.
